John Hurley

John Hurley is originally from O’Neill, Nebraska and was a highly recruited junior golfer with talent out of this world.  During his tenure at Texas A&M University, John held the longest driving average in collegiate golf, was part of a winning formula, and a member of the 2009 NCAA National Championship team.  John joined Summit Golf School in 2021 as a golf instructor and master club fitter.

  • Competed at the 2014 Re/Max World Long Drive Finals (longest drive hit was 390 yards)

He was a student of 2018 PGA Teacher of the Year recipient, James Sieckmann, as well as  Claude Harmon III.  As a long driver, he worked closely with many club fitters and builders to achieve optimal performance with his equipment. 

John’s philosophy is keeping things simple and incorporating new feels to make changes. He is a big believer in fixing problems with permanent solutions rather than quick fixes that fail over time. John is eager to help you do the same with your equipment and game.
